Munich Linedancers in the States
Munich (bg): In May 5 members of the linedancers flew over to the annual "Gay & Lesbian Line Dance Convention" that took place in Fort Lauderdale in the "Sunshine State" Florida this time. The 8th annual convention of the IAGLCWDC (International Association of Gay and Lesbian Country and Western Dance Clubs) started on 24th of May under the topic: "Sun Dance - The Next Wave". About 500 Dancers attended a variety of workshops and dance events. On the startling opening ceremony 3 of the Munich LADs took part. On Saturday, the LADs had the opportunity to surrender themselves to the friendly audience. Their Show* was awarded with frenetic applause. The LADs leader, Richard Lootens, could even proove his talent as a teacher. The linedance "Cannibal Stomp" was appreciated very much and being danced already in the gay country saloons of Fort Lauderdale a few days later. While everyone was so overwhelmed of his first convention, the Munich LADs will take part again on 3rd of July 2002 in Norfolk/Virginia. They will be confirming their pledge to have the 12th annual IAGLCWDC convention in Munich.
